Brief on a guest before you interview them

The 5 questions you ask before mic-on so the convo doesn't drift.

What you need: The guest's name and one line on who they are. The show context (your podcast's name, the audience, the episode's working topic, target runtime). What you already know about the guest (or "nothing yet — find it"). Any materials you want the AI to pull from — book title, recent talk, podcast they were just on, a transcript excerpt, their last 2-3 social posts. 10 minutes of honest answers.

How to use: Paste into a fresh Claude / ChatGPT / Gemini chat — or into your Project / Custom GPT / Gem if you've built your business profile. The AI will interview you in 5 questions and produce a one-page briefing dossier: a deep-research pull with the ONE quote worth asking about (and why), three risk-laddered angles (the safe lay-up, the smart contrarian, the wildcard) with the exact question phrased the way you'd ask it, a "don't ask" list of questions this guest gets on every other podcast, a warm-up energy plan keyed to the guest's actual cadence + one specific recent thing to react to, and a close-loop question that sets up the next cycle. Read it 30 minutes before mic-on, write the hook on an index card, walk in knowing what you're actually after.
