Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

We collect the data needed to run Miah for you and your contacts:

  • Contact information — names, phone numbers, emails, and other details submitted through capture forms, voice calls, or your own outreach;
  • Voice recordings — audio you or your contacts record through Miah's voice capture features, used to extract and structure information;
  • Message content — texts, emails, and other messages sent or drafted through the Service;
  • Usage data — how you interact with the Service, device and browser information, and similar diagnostic data.

2. How we use it

We use this data to provide the Service: capturing leads, drafting and sending outreach, powering the assistant's understanding of your business, and improving reliability and performance. We do not sell your personal data, or your contacts' personal data, to third parties — ever.

3. SMS / text messaging

When a contact submits a phone number through a Miah capture form, they opt in to receive text messages by checking a consent checkbox at submission. Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Reply STOP to any text message to opt out at any time — we honor opt-outs immediately and do not re-contact opted-out numbers through the Service. Reply HELP for help.

4. Email consent

Contacts who submit their email through Miah do so with notice of how they'll be contacted. Anyone can opt out of email at any time using the unsubscribe link in any message or the preference link Miah provides. We honor opt-outs immediately.

5. Data retention and deletion

We retain data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. If you close your account, we delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable period, except where we're required to retain it for legal or accounting reasons. To request deletion of your data or a contact's data at any time, email support@miah.ai.

6. Third-party processors

We share data with a small number of vendors who help us operate the Service. Each one gets only the data it needs to do its job:

  • Vercel hosts this website (miah.ai) and counts page visits with Vercel Web Analytics: the page viewed, the referring site, and the browser, device type and approximate location of the visitor.
  • Cloudflare runs the Miah app, capture forms and API at app.miah.ai, so every request to them passes through Cloudflare's network. It may also send email for Miah: sign-in links and account notices. For an email it sends, it receives the recipient's address and the message content, and reports back on delivery.
  • Neon hosts our database. Your account data and your contacts' data are stored there.
  • Google Cloud (Vertex AI) runs the AI model that reads voice notes, transcripts and messages to pull out details and draft replies.
  • Groq turns speech into text and rewrites text on request. It receives voice recordings made on Miah capture forms and in the Miah app, dictation from Miah Desktop, and text you ask Miah to rewrite.
  • ElevenLabs turns text into speech. If you turn on AI audio messages for a capture form, it receives the message text, which can include the contact's name, company, title and event. If you create a voice clone, it also receives your voice recordings.
  • Stripe processes payments. When you pay, you enter your card details on Stripe's checkout page; Miah never receives or stores your full card number. Stripe shares your name, email, billing details and payment status with us.
  • Mailgun sends email for Miah: sign-in links, account notices, and the emails you send to your contacts. It receives the recipient's address and the message content, and reports back on delivery.
  • Twilio carries text messages and phone calls made through Miah. It receives phone numbers and message content.
  • Google Fonts serves the typefaces on Miah capture forms, consent pages and status pages. When one of those pages loads, the visitor's browser requests the fonts from Google, which receives the visitor's IP address and browser details.
  • HighLevel (GoHighLevel) receives contact data only if you connect your own HighLevel account as a destination. Miah then sends the contacts you capture to that account, at your direction.

Apart from Google Fonts and any destination you connect yourself, these vendors are contractually bound to use data only to provide their service to us, not for their own purposes.

7. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards — encryption in transit, access controls, and tenant isolation — to protect the data in your account. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your data, and your contacts' data, as if it were our own.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, direct notice to you.
