Negotiate a one-off appearance fee

The number you ask for, the floor, and how to land it.

What you need: The exact request (who's asking, what kind of event, audience size, location, date), what you've been paid for any prior appearances (a real number or "never paid before"), one comparable speaker you've watched on a similar stage (rough fee band if you know it), what your "audience asset" is on this gig (the buyer for your business is in the room? a recording you can use? a logo on your reel?), and whether you have a hard walk-away — a number below which you'd rather pass than say yes. About 6 minutes of honest answers.

How to use: If you've already built your business profile (see "Start here") and saved it as a Claude Project / Custom GPT / Gemini Gem — open that and paste this prompt inside. The AI will skip what it already knows. If not, paste into any fresh AI chat. The AI interviews you across 7 questions, then produces a one-page negotiation memo: ask / floor / walk-away in dollars, the rate-sheet rationale (audience + comparables + your stage), a verbatim opening script you can read on the call, three concession trades the booker will ask for with the exact counter-move on each, what NOT to say, and the email-or-call you should send today. Memo, not pep talk — no "know your worth" sludge, no apologetic openers.
