Reply to a media request

What you need: The request itself — paste the email / DM / form submission the journalist sent. Who they are (name + outlet) and what you can find out about them in five minutes (recent stories, beat, audience). The deadline they gave you and your honest read on it. What they're asking for (quick quote / sit-down interview / written response / background only). Your gut on the topic fit — is this your actual area, partially yours, or wrong-person. Whether there's anything you absolutely won't discuss (legal in progress, a partner's business, a number you haven't announced).

How to use: If you've built your business profile (see "Start here") and saved it as a Claude Project / Custom GPT / Gemini Gem, open that and paste this prompt inside — the AI uses your profile context and skips questions about who you are and what you cover. Otherwise, paste into any fresh AI chat. The AI will interview you across 6 questions, then produce the full reply kit: (1) a one-paragraph assessment that tiers the outlet, vets the journalist, reality-checks the deadline, and rates the topic fit; (2) three drafted responses — YES with boundary clauses, NO with a graceful door-open, LATER with a specific alternative; (3) the 5-7 pre-commit questions you send back to the journalist BEFORE agreeing; (4) the boundary scripts you keep on hand for when the conversation pushes into off-limits territory.
